Nancy joined South Los Angeles Health Projects in 2003 as a WIC Site Supervisor for the Bell Gardens site.

She is currently finishing a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Health Care Policy and Administration, at California State University Dominguez Hills.

As a native Angeleno and first generation Mexican and Central American, Nancy understands the cultural and diversity complexities of growing up in South Central Los Angeles.

In 2007, she transitioned to serving as a Senior Health Educator for the South Los Angeles Best Babies Project, and then moved to Site Operations as a Trainer.

In 2010, she became a WIC Area Manager and served in that capacity for 11 years, overseeing multiple WIC sites and working collaboratively with other South LA Health Projects departments.

She is a wife and the mother of a teenager. Nancy enjoys traveling with her family and listening to audio books in her spare time.
