Dakora & Ricky

When Dakora's husband, Ricky, awoke in the hospital, he couldn't speak, walk or feed himself. Dakora became his teacher, his nurse, his cheerleader--until gradually he was able to walk and talk again.

And not long after Ricky recovered, they learned that Dakora was pregnant! The first step they took was to enroll Dakora in the WIC program at our Lynwood WIC Center.
