FREE HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAMS

Medi-Cal Medi-Cal is available to cover medical costs for families with low incomes who meet certain requirements.

All pregnant women who are eligible for WIC are also eligible for Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal will cover your prenatal care, delivery and postpartum checkup, even if you are undocumented.

Children may also be eligible for Medi-Cal or other programs.

Most women and children on Medi-Cal also meet the WIC income criteria.

There are several ways to apply for Medi-Cal. Help is available at most WIC sites. Ask to speak to the application assistor.

Whether you are applying for your child or yourself, you can call (877) 597-4777 to receive the Medi-Cal application. You can also apply at your local DPSS office.
