WIC

WIC is a federally funded supplemental nutrition program for pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, and infants and children under age 5.  Participants must be under 185% of the federal poverty level and at nutritional risk.

In addition to supplemental food targeted to the status of the participant, WIC provides nutrition and health education, breastfeeding suppport, counseling and referrals to health and social service providers.
